The National Wild Goat Hunting Competition runs 1 August to 26 November 2026 (entries close midnight 26 November). Run by DOC, it's a chance to help reduce wild goat numbers on public or private land, and go in the draw for national and local prizes. To enter, bring goat tails to an entry location.
